They are organically grown and fairly traded, often harvested and extracted by indigenous communities in the traditional ways they have used for generations.

Ancient Blessings Body Care Products by Stone of Wisdom are blended of organic, fairly traded oils and oil butters from around the world.  A few of the main ingredients come from a cooperative in Togo, West Africa called Alaffia /Agbanga Karite.  The shea butter, kpangnan butter, palm fruit oil, and African wild honey, are harvested in the same sustainable tradition they have been for generations.  By buying the oils and honey directly from their organization, the communities in Togo who harvest them, are receiving a far better price for their labor.  They are then able to put money into strengthening their communities and towards maintaining their valuable traditions.  The cooperative also gives 10% of sales to community enhancement projects.

 This kind of financial support is vital to farming and craft communities around the world who have been struggling in today’s global economy with basic needs such as food and water.  By providing a better price and market for their traditional products, we enable indigenous communities to continue practicing environmental farming techniques of renewable resources, as well as support their cultural traditions. 

We also benefit as consumers because we are receiving the highest quality pure ingredients that have been harvested and processed with care and by hand.  With Ancient Blessings Body Care Products by Stone of Wisdom, we are further benefiting from the traditional knowledge of ancient skin care techniques which have healed and protected people in harsh climates for generations.
